On May 18th 2025, I am setting out on a personal and ambitious journey at the LCW Maastricht Marathon. But this is more than just a race. Every step I take is a step forward in the battle against Alzheimer's disease. Each breath is a commitment to aid the Alzheimer’s Research Center KU Leuven (ARCK) in their pursuit of improving diagnosis, care, and finding preventive measures for dementias like Alzheimer's disease.
Why I'm running
This cause is deeply personal to me, and it's an honour and a privilege to raise funds for such life-changing research. Alzheimer's disease is one of the defining health battles of our age, affecting millions of people worldwide.
About ARCK
The Alzheimer’s Research Center KU Leuven (ARCK) aims to translate research advances into improved diagnosis and care, as well as find ways to treat and possibly prevent dementia. Areas of investigation range from the basic mechanisms of disease to managing the symptoms and helping families cope with the effects. ARCK researchers conduct basic, clinical, translational, and behavioural research and train scientists.

Make a donation to make a difference to translate research advances into improved diagnosis and care, as well as finding ways to treat and possibly prevent Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
