Running a marathon for the Neurology Department of UZ Leuven
I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon on the 26th of May in order to raise money for Professor Dubois in the Neurology department at UZ Leuven Hospital.
This cause is very close to my heart so it would be an honour, and a privilege, to raise funds for such life-changing research.
The Neurology Department of UZ Leuven focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the brain and spinal cord, nerves and muscles in adults. Their specialisation includes movement disorders, strokes (CVA), memory clinic, epilepsy, neuroinflammatory diseases, neuromuscular reference centre (NMRC) and primary headache.
They also conduct research on cerebrovascular diseases, memory clinic, neuromuscular diseases and multiple sclerosis (MS). This research is conducted in 6 different laboratories. Professor Dubois is the head of the Research Group Experimental Neurology and of the Laboratory of Neuro-Immunology.
